Welcome to the Mindanao Campus
Since its founding in 1982, the goal of Faith's campus on Mindanao has been to provide a quality education for the children of missionaries. Faith Academy Inc. on Mindanao serves over 25 different mission agencies, as well as the business community. Approximately 130 students in grades K-12 represent more than 10 countries. Smaller classes allow for more personal interaction between teachers, students, and families.
Faith Academy, Mindanao, like its Manila counterpart, seeks to provide students with a quality, well-balanced, Christ-centered academic education. A close-knit community and personal interaction between teachers and students is facilitated in smaller classes. Academic excellence is emphasized in a healthy mix of language arts, math, science, social studies, Bible, physical education, art and music (vocal and instrumental).
The school challenges active students not only through academics but also through electives and extracurricular activities that range from computer, vocal and instrumental music, and journalism to soccer, tennis and basketball. Faith Academy Mindanao provides an education that will prepare them well for what lies ahead.
Faith Academy, Mindanao also has enrolled a limited number of international students.
Our school is a part of the International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC). Thus we participate in sport tournaments for both boys' and girls' teams for volleyball, soccer, and basketball.
The school is located in the city of Davao on Mindanao, the largest island of the Southern Philippines. Davao has all the facilities and conveniences of a big city in a small town atmosphere. Modern shopping malls, restaurants and wide use of English make cross-cultural living easier. Davao is a great place to live, affording a healthy family environment. The friendly Filipinos and cooperative mission attitude make for a strong community spirit and a great place to learn - or teach.
